About Us

Green energy for a greener Baldwin City.

The City partnered with Evergy to install a solar field behind the Public Utilities Building at 1015 Orange Street, which was completed in September of 2019. The solar field adds to the City’s mix of green and renewable energy. Click here to check the energy output of the solar field.

"Baldwin City has amazing small businesses that the community embraces and supports."
-Lori Gardner, owner of Homestead Kitchen & Bakery
"It’s a wonderful place to raise a family!"
-Lacy
"I’ve lived in Baldwin City two times over the years. The second time was because I knew this community was steeped in art and culture. For a town this size and so close to other, larger communities, it has its own identity."
-Melinda Hipple
"We like the friendly, civic minded citizens, the church bells ringing the hours and playing hymns twice a day, the beautiful trees, the Baker campus and activities, the flowers downtown and at the pool, the new venue downtown at Sullivan Square..."
-Donna Masoner
